A researcher conducts systematic investigations and draws conclusions based on evidence collected.
A researcher is someone who conducts an investigation, collects evidence, and makes conclusions based on that evidence. There are many settings where researchers may find themselves. A researcher may work within a research institution where they would also have responsibilities as a professor. (See Professor.)They may also be hired within a company that focuses on sound and audio technologies. Research can be conducted on an individual level or on a large team with many other departments. As a researcher, one would need to be organized and able to keep clear data, have strong writing skills, and understand the data tools needed for their specific field.
A researcher is expected to hold a doctorate degree in their field of research. For example, if you are interested in researching music history, you would need a doctorate in music history.
