Dean

Deans preside over music schools or music divisions within an institution of higher education.They may also preside over other departments like theater and dance. Deans interact with faculty, the central campus administration, the chief academic affairs officer, students, alumni, and various external stakeholders such as donors and corporate supporters. 

Decision-making responsibilities of academic deans typically encompass a wide range of areas including educational programs/curriculum; faculty selection, promotion, and development; student affairs; finance; development of physical facilities; as well as public and alumni relations.
