Admissions Manager
Also known as Director of Admissions
An admissions manager oversees the areas of recruitment and enrollment through strategic planning for colleges, universities, conservatories, and other academic institutions. They represent the institution at recruitment events and other promotional activities, schedule student interviews and information sessions, and coordinate campus tours for prospective students. They may also create content for recruitment campaigns for targeted audiences within prospective, applicant, and admitted student populations, help connect prospective students with professors, and coordinate other admissions activities.
Collaborating with senior leadership, an admissions manager may create reports for studio loads, enrollment, applications, and other aspects related to recruiting. They also manage live auditions by organizing travel needs of faculty, student monitors, venues, and accompanists. Admissions managers provide prospective students with information regarding admissions requirements, financial aid applications, enrollment, and other procedures related to those areas. They also review student applications and assist in the decision making process.
